Standout dishes: Hash browns biscuits and gravy Everything at 11 Worth is excellent, the servers are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere has that greasy-spoon vibe that fits in perfectly with the show’s premise. It’s the best breakfast in Omaha, especially now that the great Duggers Cafe has closed its doors (pour one out for that wonderful restaurant). There’s a reason the line spills out the doors during the lunch/brunch hours at 11 Worth nearly every day, especially on the weekends. You typically don’t find them unless you’re specifically looking for them, but let’s change that, shall we? Here are my five favorite candidates, along with the dishes that would be perfect to be featured during a segment on the show. They’re typically little-known, out-of-the-way gems that get far more business from word of mouth than advertising. The restaurants on this show aren’t flashy, gaudy or fancy. Watching the show recently got me thinking: if Triple D did return to Omaha, what places would it have to hit? The show has been to Omaha before, visiting six restaurants: Amato’s, Big Mama’s, Brewburgers, California Taco, Dixie Quick’s and Joe Tess place. It’s a fantastic premise and if I could trade jobs with any one individual in this world, it would be Fieri. Host Guy Fieri traverses the country searching for out-of-the-way joints, eats delicious food and spews a series of ridiculous catchphrases. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is, in my opinion, the peak of food TV.
